Ambler officers halt plan to take enterprise proprietor’s property via eminent area

Officers in Ambler have backed off after planning to take an 80-year-old enterprise proprietor’s property via eminent area. 

A enterprise proprietor in Ambler is celebrating after the borough backed off from making an attempt to take his enterprise property via eminent area.

Pasquall Riccardi was already struggling after his auto restore store on South Important Avenue burned down on Feb. 3. After the hearth, the 80-year-old proprietor was near being compelled to promote the property to the borough.

The native authorities wished his property to increase a car parking zone on the close by SEPTA rail station. Officers had been going to take the property via eminent area, forcing him to promote it to the Borough. 

Borough leaders introduced the plan to reverse course at a council assembly on Tuesday.

“I thank them for not taking my property,” Riccardi mentioned. “That’s all I can say. Amen.” 

His daughter Cindi additionally spoke with FOX 29 saying what occurs to the enterprise is her dad’s alternative. “He has to resolve. He may need to rebuild,” she mentioned. “He may need to promote. He doesn’t know. Proper now we’re simply reveling within the reality now we will make the choice of what we need to do with it.” 

Riccardi mentioned he’s now targeted on making an attempt to get a demolition crew to intestine the constructing so he can begin rebuilding or put it up on the market.
